It can take time before the picture of what you are going through is more revealing and those odd pieces finally fall into place and help make sense out of all those experiences. The tough and challenging times we hold in our hands and have no idea of where they fit, will eventually find their place in the picture of our lives.
You just have to trust and have faith that what seems so oddly shaped to the rest of that picture will finally find its rightful place. In the meantime work with what you have, be patient with the unfinished picture and let life sort it all out for you...as surely it will. 💗
I have just read this amazing story from Samantha Wills and it really tugged at my heartstrings....because it could have been me talking. I too ignored the symptoms of Endometriosis and fibroids for decades until I finally got in such a bad way and my iron levels from blood loss were so low, that I had to have a full hysterectomy. Word for word I echoed what she had gone through and the constant pushing it aside for more 'important' things. Having to live with the symptoms of this condition cannot be described. The pain and bleeding was horrendous and life destroying, often limiting my ability to be too far from home, or a toilet! For me 2+ weeks out of every month, except through pregnancy, involved serious issues from the waste down and at times 11 out of 10 abdominal pain during a period, which would usually be a 6-7 day duration.
What Samantha says in her story about our need for self care is an absolute example of why I am encouraging women to look after their breast health...but it ripples much further than that out into all areas of womens health. As she states soberingly, those fibroids could also have been cancerous and her outcome much more life threatening.
She so beautifully describes that she let her body down by ignoring the signs that it was screaming at her, to attend to the desperate issues which were 'suffocating' her reproductive organs. These are her own words below from the story she has published.
'In my long held (and very messed up) belief of trying to do everything to not be a hindrance, I became angry that my body was hindering me and instead, just started to accept the pain and symptoms as my normality.
Writing this hurts every part of my heart.
The core belief system that I’ve carried for so long (among many) and the constant battle of it Vs your true self that is trying to shed it, is tormenting and exhausting. There is much to undo.
The vile and horrible way I have spoken to and treated my body, ignoring her when she was trying to get my attention for so long, and when she was screaming out in pain instead of caring her, I just tried to continually numb her.'
I urge all women to listen to their bodies but also to be a step ahead. Some of us look after our cars better than our bodies, booking them in for their regular service so they stay in good running order. What about making sure we are in tune with our health and keeping ahead of potential 'breakdowns' and malfunctions. Our beautiful and amazing bodies are relying on us to do the absolute best we can so we can have optimum health and well being.
We have one life. Let's make sure it is the best it can be. 💗
PRICELINE Forster has jumped on board to help support BOOB LOOB and get the breast cancer awareness message out there. 💗
It has already generated conversations as questions have been asked by some younger members of their female staff about what BOOB LOOB is for and that a few of them were unaware about the need to check/get to know their breasts.
It makes me feel even more encouraged to think that my product is doing what I intended and that is igniting the subject of breast cancer awareness, and I couldn’t be happier to know this. 💗
Thanks to the retail manager, Kristy Douglas (pictured) for being so supportive in this campaign. Also via the sales of my product it will raise funds for the McGrath Foundation. 💗
Something to consider. 💗Did you know you're not supposed to check your breasts at the same time every month? A woman’s breasts can change throughout the month due to hormones and menstrual cycle, so it’s important to know the look and feel of your breasts at every point in the month.
It is amazing what our hands are capable of. They can create, they can build, they can disarm, they can direct, they can make music, they can harm, they can hold, they can communicate, they can heal, they can push away, they can draw in.
They can also save your life. The power is in your hands... Use them to check your breasts regularly. 💗 ... See MoreSee Less

The only words worth saying here are. ‘We are Australian’
What a bunch of heroes you all are. No words can ever fully say all that needs to be said. Many have lost everything, thousands have suffered some type of loss, there has been major trauma to people’s lives...and most importantly there have been lives lost. Our country has lost millions of wild animals, much loved pets and countless livestock.
The generosity of heart in this country is overwhelming. In every single city and community people are supporting those in need.
